Flight prices are sourced from Google Flights via automated daily scraping β€” the same data you see when searching manually. Hotel rates come from Booking.com filtered to 4β˜… and 5β˜… properties only.

We capture the high-end benchmark β€” the upper range of available fares β€” because travel expense policies typically require the most economical reasonable fare, and a high-end benchmark gives reviewers a defensible ceiling.

Data is collected every 30 hours. Because airfares and hotel rates change daily, we capture current market prices as a benchmark for what a trip should have cost β€” giving reviewers a defensible, up-to-date reference point for past travel.
